  • Do I need to buy air tickets and pay for the hotel before I apply for a UK visa?
Unlike other countries, the UK does not require flight and hotel reservations for the Visitor Visa application. They used to request these records but ceased doing so years ago.
That is because it is simple to book and cancel reservations. Even if they are paid for, hotel and airline reservations reveal nothing about the traveller's desire to leave the country — a crucial factor in determining whether to grant a visa.

  • Can I apply for a UK visa if my passport expires soon?
    1. If coming on a visitor visa, unlike many other countries, to travel to the UK, your passport will need to be valid for the entire duration of your trip. The border officer will enquire about your trip during the border crossing, and you will need to show him your travel plans

    2. If coming on any other visa, your passport should only be valid during the border crossing as you would be able to collect the BRP card or proof of your status electronically (EU citizens) whilst in the UK. You would be able to apply for a new passport at your country’s embassy.

  • How to get a job with a visa in the UK?
If you’re a foreigner looking to work and live in the UK, you’ll need a Skilled Worker Visa. It’s easy to obtain if you find a job at a licensed UK company.
The visa lasts up to 5 years and can be extended without limit as long as you meet the requirements. After 5 years, you can apply for permanent residency.
If the company you’re interested in isn’t on the list and doesn’t have a license to hire you:
    • We can help your company get a Skilled Worker license.
    • If they don’t want a license, we can assist you in getting a Tier 5 GAE visa for 1 year, if you meet the conditions.

  • If my UK visa is refused, can I get a refund?
Refunds for visa application and health surcharge fees depend on the stage of your application. Here’s a breakdown:
    • Stage 1: Visa form completed, but no evidence uploaded or appointment booked. Refundable: Visa fee and IHS.
    • Stage 2: Evidence uploaded or appointment attended (no decision yet). Refundable: IHS fee, not the visa fee.
    • Stage 3: Visa rejected. Refundable: IHS fee, not the visa fee.
    • Stage 4: Visa approved, staying the full length of the visa. Non-refundable: Visa fee and IHS fee.
    • Stage 5: Visa approved, but leaving before it expires. Non-refundable: Visa fee and IHS fee.
    • Stage 6: Visa approved, switching to another visa. Refundable: Unused IHS for the previous visa, but you must pay full IHS for the new visa.
You can request a refund if you cancel before a decision is made. If you cancel, IHS is refundable, but visa fees depend on your application status.
To cancel and request a refund, follow these steps:
Way 1: If asked to attend an appointment, fill out the online form and withdraw your application. Way 2: If you applied via a smartphone app, cancel through your account.
